Now you can use AI to process files offline even on a plane. Google just dropped their open-source model Gemma 4 two days ago, and the 31B version is already ranked third on the Arena AI global open-source model leaderboard. They also launched the Google AI Edge Gallery, a mobile app that lets you run Gemma 4 directly on your device. Completely offline, no internet connection needed, and no data gets uploaded to any server. Available for free on both the App Store and Google Play. Once installed, you can use AI Chat with Thinking Mode to see the model's reasoning process. The Ask Image feature lets you snap a photo of screenshots, whitepaper covers, or on-chain data and ask questions directly. It even supports Wikipedia agent integration, connecting the local model to a knowledge base. For those who need to analyze documents with AI in places like planes or areas without internet, this is currently the cleanest solution. Free, offline, and privacy-protected—your data stays on your phone. Search for Google AI Edge Gallery on the App Store, or head straight to GitHub: https://(github.com)/google-ai-edge/gallery Direct link to the App Store: https://apps.(apple.com)/us/app/google-ai-edge-gallery/id6749645337 (Note: Mainland China users may need to switch to a non-mainland App Store account.)
