AI + Crypto = Machine Economy! I’ve been emphasizing one topic and firmly believe that the start of this bull market is the natural combination of AI AGENT and cryptocurrency: Just like Coinbase CEO @Brian_Armstrong said, the era of the Machine Economy might already be emerging. Human payments are consumption-based, corporate payments are trade-based, but future AI payments will be system-driven automatic collaboration. Machines can earn money, spend money, and hire other machines on their own—that’s what we call Agentic Commerce. In the future, stablecoins won’t just be used between humans; they’ll be used more between AI and AI. Here are a few of my thoughts on how this could impact the market and industry in the future: 1️⃣ Stablecoins might not be designed for humans, but for machines. Some concepts that don’t exist yet but are likely to emerge in the future: Stablecoins = Currency for the machine world; ETH / SOL = Settlement layer for the machine world; GAS = “Electricity bill” for the machine world; Wallet = Bank account for AI; Private key = Property rights for AI. 2️⃣ DeFi isn’t financial innovation—it’s the prototype of machine finance. 3️⃣ The real driver of stablecoin transaction volume reaching 100x won’t be retail investors or institutions—it’ll be the number of AI users. Let’s do some math: Imagine in the future there are 5 billion people, each with 10 AI agents. That’s 50 billion AI agents. If each AI generates 20 payment transactions per day, then 50 billion × 20 = 1 trillion transactions per day. For comparison, Visa currently processes ~700 million transactions per day. 4️⃣ If this direction holds true, then the biggest crypto sector in the future might not be exchanges, public chains, or DeFi. Instead, it could be scenarios like: AI Agent wallets, AI payment protocols, AI → API → automated settlement systems, stablecoin clearing networks, machine identity systems (AI identity), automated market-making / automated trading / automated settlement agents. This is an entirely new economic system. This is the next big narrative for crypto: AI + Crypto = Machine Economy!
