According to on-chain detective ZachXBT, his compiled 'USDC Files' reveal that since 2022, Circle failed to promptly freeze funds in at least 15 incidents involving illicit money, with a total amount exceeding $420 million. Specific cases include: during the 2026 Drift attack, attackers transferred approximately $230 million USDC cross-chain via CCTP, which remained unfrozen for about 6 hours; during the 2026 SwapNet attack, around $3 million USDC stayed in the address for two days without action; during the 2025 Cetus attack, approximately $61 million USDC was blacklisted only a month after being transferred cross-chain. Additionally, incidents like Nomad, Mango Markets, Ledger supply chain attacks, and GMX also involved USDC that could have been frozen but wasn’t executed in time. https://(wublock123.com)/news/zachxbt-accuses-circle-of-failing-to-freeze-4-2b-usdc-59061
