Sonic Labs announced that approximately 32.69 million unclaimed S tokens locked in the airdrop contract will be permanently destroyed after October 15, 2026. After the deadline, anyone can trigger the destruction on-chain. The company also stated that there will be no additional airdrop minting, and unclaimed allocations will not be retained in the contract long-term.
