Another very early Senate session took place to pass legislation to end the partial DHS shutdown now on Day 48 by unanimous consent. Just after 7am ET this morning, Majority Leader John Thune with Tom Cotton presiding & the only other Senator in the chamber asked unanimous consent for the Senate to table/reject the House-passed 60-day DHS funding & sends its own bill w/o ICE funding back the House, all without objection.
