It was a profound honour to be hosted by my brother, President John Mahama, for a State Banquet in the beautiful city of Accra. This visit is a powerful testament to the Second Republic’s unwavering commitment to the engagement and re-engagement agenda, as we seek to broaden our strategic partnerships across our great continent. Ghana and Zimbabwe share more than just history; we share a common destiny. As I noted during the banquet, our mission is to transform these deep-rooted historical ties into tangible economic benefits for our people. By deepening our cooperation in trade, investment, and industrialisation, we are ensuring that the wealth of Africa benefits Africans first. The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is our roadmap to this future. Together with Ghana, we are determined to unlock new value chains and build resilient societies that can withstand global shocks. We are no longer just telling our story; we are actively shaping a prosperous, sovereign destiny.
