[Drift Protocol TVL Slashed in Half, Losses Estimated at $270 Million] BlockBeats News, April 2: Early this morning, the Solana ecosystem DeFi protocol Drift Protocol suffered an attack. Preliminary estimates indicate that approximately $220 million to $270 million worth of assets were suspiciously transferred to the address 'HkGz4K.' Subsequently, part of the funds were bridged to the Ethereum chain and used to purchase ETH. As of now, 19,913 ETH, valued at $42.6 million, have been purchased. The attacker also converted part of the stolen SOL into ETH via Hyperliquid and transferred some of the stolen SOL to Binance. The latest on-chain data shows that Drift Protocol's TVL has plummeted to $255 million, a sharp drop from the pre-attack TVL of $534 million, effectively cutting it in half.
