XAU Gold Market Analysis 2026.04.01
In yesterday's post, we mentioned the importance of 4603 and clearly stated that the rebound starting from 4100 in gold is unlikely to end in the short term. After breaking through 4603, it quickly surged by 120 points. So, what’s next?
If we view the rebound from 4100 as a simple three-phase upward movement, the strength of the first phase directly determines the overall height of this rebound:
- If gold fails to break through the blue zone shown in the chart this week, the first phase of the upward movement is likely over. Afterward, there will be a pullback targeting the first phase of the rise. Once the pullback ends, there will be another upward movement of the same level. It’s worth noting that if the blue zone isn’t broken, the subsequent pullback could be quite deep, which would present a great opportunity for us to go long.
- If gold breaks through the blue zone resistance this week, the red zone might mark the endpoint of the first upward phase. Under this path, there will also be a pullback, followed by another rise to complete the entire rebound. If this scenario plays out, the overall height of the rebound could be quite impressive, potentially reaching 5200+ or even near historical highs.
