[Data: Bitcoin Average Transaction Fee Drops to Lowest Level Since 2017] According to a report by Jinse Finance, on April 1, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated that Bitcoin transaction fees have dropped to their lowest level since 2017. Bitcoin transaction fees have long been considered relatively high, with some fees reaching hundreds of dollars during periods of network congestion. However, the situation is now quite the opposite. The average Bitcoin transaction fee has fallen to its lowest level since 2017. The current annual average fee has dropped below $0.4, indicating that transaction costs are at a very low level. However, the decline in the number of transactions is not as significant. On an annual average basis, daily transaction volume still exceeds 3,000, which is far from low. The drop in fees is primarily attributed to the introduction of inscriptions, which to some extent limit the weight of transactions that can be included in each block. Although this was achieved through a soft fork, it remains a significant development for Bitcoin. Additionally, comparing fee changes with price trends is quite interesting. Historically, fee peaks often coincide with Bitcoin price tops, while fee lows tend to occur during bear market phases—just like the current situation.
