[During the blockade, the number of vessels approved by Iran to pass through the Strait of Hormuz has increased] Odaily Planet Daily News: The number of vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz and the strength of their transmitted signals are gradually increasing, even though Iran currently maintains an effective blockade on most unauthorized commercial ships. According to tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, as of Monday, the average weekly two-way transit of vessels rose to seven, compared to five last week. Although still far from normal traffic levels, this increase indicates that a small, selective fleet (primarily from non-hostile Asian countries) continues to pass through the port. By allowing friendly vessels to transit while restricting Western ships, Iran's blockade measures have evolved into a powerful tool of economic warfare. (Jin10)
