Jamaica has faced one of the toughest periods in its history, with back-to-back challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, global supply disruptions, rising prices, natural disasters, and international conflicts affecting our economy.
While these issues may not always feel directly connected to everyday life, they impact how quickly we can deliver improvements in areas like roads, healthcare, and public services. It is important that we understand this connection.
The encouraging news is that despite these challenges, Jamaica has remained resilient. Not only have we endured, but we have also strengthened our ability to recover and move forward, standing firm and continuing to make progress as a nation.(Andrew Holness)
