We just upgraded mainnet – VeChain Thor v2.4.3 is now live!
Our latest update is a security hardening patch that tightens 3 core areas: network robustness, transaction accounting, and API safeguards.
What shipped (and what it means):
Transaction accounting: Pending transactions are now tracked more accurately, meaning fewer failed or stuck transactions for users and apps.
Max gas cap per transaction: Think of gas as the fuel cost to run a transaction. This cap prevents any single transaction from consuming too many network resources, keeping things fair and predictable.
MCOPY opcode wired into runtime: A new instruction that lets smart contracts copy data in memory more efficiently. For builders, that means cheaper and faster contract execution.
Legacy bootnodes stripped out: Bootnodes are the first connection points a node uses to find the rest of the network. Old, outdated ones have been removed so nodes connect faster and more reliably.
Go runtime updated to v1.26.1: Go is the programming language node software is built on. Version updated for better security and performance.
VeChain never stops shipping – we’re adding features and updates across the ecosystem, consistently.
Developers and Validators: update your node software!
