[Ministry of Industry and Information Technology NVDB Alert: Beware of Fake OpenClaw Download Websites and Installation Files] According to Jintou News, the Cybersecurity Threat and Vulnerability Information Sharing Platform has recently reported that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Cybersecurity Threat and Vulnerability Information Sharing Platform (NVDB) has detected attack groups exploiting the popularity of OpenClaw (commonly known as 'Lobster') by creating fake OpenClaw download websites and installation files to trick users into downloading installation files containing malicious programs. Once users run these installation files containing malicious programs, the files will covertly load malicious programs on terminal devices, deploy and implant remote control trojans, potentially leading to network attacks, system control, and information leakage. Currently, the detected fake domain names include: ai-((openclaw.com)).cn, web-((openclaw.com)).cn, and malicious installation package names include: openclaw.zip, openclawAI7beAolenc.zip, openclaw.exe, opealeAi_7beAole-x64.exe, among others. Users are advised to download OpenClaw and its skill plugins through trusted channels, exercise caution when clicking on unknown links, and take precautions against cybersecurity risks.
