There is a very clear evolution to on-chain stablecoin yield in a post-Clarity world. It will even look very similar to today's environment. I'm convinced the reason Coinbase is essentially the sole objector to Clarity's yield prohibition at this stage is because, in that new world, it's Collaboration Agreement with Circle basically zeros out their economics. They are uniquely harmed in that sense. They would still be able to compete, but they would be starting from scratch rather than riding USDC momentum. While they may have a fiduciary responsibility to stake out their objection, I don't think they should be able to hide behind "we're principally objecting for the benefit of everyone".(Scott Johnsson)
