Morgan Stanley launches low fee Bitcoin spot ETF, with an annual fee rate of 0.14%, the lowest in the United States
Odaily Planet Daily News: The New York Stock Exchange has officially approved the listing of Morgan Stanley's Bitcoin spot ETF, which will be traded on NYSE Arca under the code MSBT. Morgan Stanley submitted the S-1 registration documents in January 2026 with a seed investment of $1 million. The fund will hold actual Bitcoin, with Coinbase responsible for cold storage custody and BNY Mellon responsible for cash management, administration, and transfer functions. The annual fee rate for MSBT is 0.14%, lower than Grayscale's current low of 0.15% and BlackRock's IBIT of 0.25%, making it the lowest among all Bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States. MSBT is also the first Bitcoin spot ETF directly issued by a large US bank. Morgan Stanley has over 16000 financial advisors and plans to conduct retail cryptocurrency trading through the E * Trade platform. At present, the total assets under management in the US Bitcoin spot ETF market are approximately $83 billion. Analysts believe that the transaction may start within a few days to weeks.
