TechFlow News, March 30 – According to a report by 36Kr, synthetic biotechnology developer MicroGen Synthesis completed a 300 million RMB Series A+ financing round in March 2026, with participation from Henan Investment Group's Huirong Fund and Mr. Tan Ruiqing. This round of financing will be used to expand the application boundaries of AI biocomputing, increase investment in core technology R&D, and accelerate scenario-based implementation. At the same time, MicroGen Synthesis, in collaboration with Stanford University, Princeton University, Peking University, ByteDance, NVIDIA, and other institutions, launched the open collaboration platform PoseX at ICLR 2026. The platform aims to address the challenges of molecular docking in real-world scenarios and conducted systematic evaluations of 24 mainstream methods. Test results show that top AI docking methods (e.g., SurfDock) and co-folding methods (e.g., AlphaFold3) have comprehensively surpassed traditional physical models in terms of accuracy and robustness for cross-conformation docking tasks. Currently, MicroGen Synthesis has completed the R&D and industrialization of multiple products, including allulose, lutein, and mannitol, and is accelerating the development of product pipelines related to methanol biomanufacturing.
