Yesterday, my feed was flooded with Pretext. This is a text measurement library written entirely in TypeScript, open-sourced by Midjourney's frontend engineer @_chenglou. It can accurately calculate text layout dimensions without relying on the DOM at all. A lot of people used Pretext yesterday to create some super cool visual effects, so I joined the fun and made one too.
