BlockBeats News, March 30 — On Sunday, local time, aboard Air Force One, Trump told reporters that Iran has "met" most of the 15 ceasefire conditions previously proposed by the U.S. to Tehran, although it remains unclear whether the two sides are genuinely engaging in substantive negotiations.
He stated: "They have met most of our key points. Why wouldn’t they? We will propose a few additional conditions." However, he refused to disclose the specific concessions made by Iran. Publicly, Iran has explicitly rejected the list of 15 ceasefire conditions and countered with five preconditions of its own—among them, complete control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Last weekend, officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey held meetings in an attempt to find a resolution to the conflict, but there are currently no signs of substantive progress from the talks. Pakistan's Foreign Minister, after meeting with counterparts from various countries, stated: "Both Iran and the U.S. have expressed trust in Pakistan and are willing to have Pakistan host follow-up negotiations." However, neither side has indicated readiness for direct dialogue. (Jin10)
