[Hunan Chenzhou Police Seize 310 Grams of Fraud-Related Gold, Exposing the 'Two Golds for Cash' New Investment Scam] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on March 29, Hunan Chenzhou police recently intercepted seven fraud-related parcels at a courier transit station, seizing 310 grams of gold. The gold was concealed in everyday items such as ketchup and moisturizer. All victims involved fell into the same scam. Investigations revealed that criminals employed a compound method of 'emotional connection + fake investment platforms' to carry out the fraud: first, they established emotional trust through dating apps, then lured victims into purchasing gold under the pretense of insider investment and mailing it to a designated address. The so-called investment platforms were entirely fabricated, with platform earnings data manipulable from the backend. Victims' funds were collected by 'runners' and then transferred multiple times through methods such as cryptocurrency exchanges and overseas account transfers, ultimately flowing into overseas fraud syndicates. Police have classified this method as the 'Two Golds for Cash' new investment scam and have issued a warning to the public: be highly cautious of any investment recommendations promising high returns. Currently, the seized gold is being returned to the victims, and the case remains under further investigation.
