I remember back when I had a "real job" as an engineer, there was this guy in my office who used to say things like "this company is f*cked if I ever quit, I do everything here". Long story short, the guy moved to another city some years later, and a couple of weeks after that, a new guy started as his replacement, and IMO he did an equal, or maybe even better job. Morale of the story: you are never replaceable for a company. No one will remember you; you're not special. Now that you know this: save up as much money as you can, invest, and/or start something on your own. Think long-term and bet on yourself.(Route 2 FI)
