Odaily Planet Daily News – Two more tankers carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bound for India have departed the Persian Gulf via the Strait of Hormuz. According to vessel tracking data, the BW Tyr and BW Elm tankers, both flying the Indian flag, were fully loaded with LPG and were last recorded passing the northern tip of the Oman Peninsula. Throughout the voyage, both vessels used transponders to signal their Indian ownership and Indian crew, a standard safety measure. India heavily relies on LPG imports from the Persian Gulf and is currently facing a severe shortage of this type of fuel. (Jin10)
