Umbra is now live, introducing a different approach to onchain privacy.
Built by @Arcium and launched via @UmbraPrivacy, the wallet enables private transfers, swaps, and balances using a combination of zero knowledge proofs and MPC.
Instead of exposing transaction graphs, sender and receiver are unlinked, balances remain encrypted, and activity inside the shielded pool cannot be correlated. Even when funds exit, entry and exit are not tied together.
The key difference is architecture. Umbra uses encrypted shared state through MPC rather than relying solely on proof recomputation. That allows for persistent balances and faster execution without sacrificing privacy.
The result is a high performance encrypted environment where users interact without revealing transaction data.
Privacy infrastructure is starting to move from theory into usable products.(Whale Factor)
