So far less than the 90%+ Trump claimed. And missiles doesn’t account for the endless amount of drone launchers. Iran still has enough of an arsenal to be a major regional threat, to control the Strait, and to obliterate any US position encroaching on Kharg without an interceptor escort. With the Strait closed, the US could only launch an amphibious assault on Kharg from Kuwait, which would mean the support ships that would fire missile interceptors wouldn’t be there for support. They’d be limited to SHORAD system, attempts at drone jamming, and potential NASAMS or GBAD systems (both which still take major set up and are not as capable as a patriot system) It would be a blood bath to send American’s to do this, with such limited pre-assault suppression of the Iranian firepower.(Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth))
