A couple of days ago, we talked about BTC's resistance to quantum computing. Coincidentally, I saw Nic Carter discussing this topic yesterday. He's an OG in BTC and a true supporter of Bitcoin.
True BTC supporters have always faced the quantum resistance issue head-on, never avoiding it. Problems can only disappear when solved—they won't vanish into thin air.
Here’s a summary of his perspective:
• Ethereum has already made post-quantum (quantum-resistant encryption) a top strategic priority before 2029. They’ve even set up a dedicated security team and have a clear roadmap.
• BTC developers, on the other hand, generally exhibit "denial/delay/poor performance," with almost no substantial post-quantum BIPs being pushed forward.
• If Bitcoin continues to lag behind, this gap in quantum computing security could ironically become a bull case for ETH, strengthening ETH/BTC.
The BTC community really needs to start taking this seriously.
