What’s funny is that the true purpose of the wealth tax is to make rich people flee, and the middle class poorer with a higher tax burden once the rich leave just so that there can be more graft for corrupt special interests who administer new programs to distribute government funds. In fact, if you are on the wrong side of the Laffer Curve, even poor people are made poorer by this policy. The reduction in govt revenues with spending held equal results in more debt which is financed eventually by greater future austerity or inflation, both of which are highly regressive.(Galois Kevin)
