I have just promulgated the Law on Defense Financing, mandating 5% of GDP for defense from 2027 onwards. This will strengthen Latvia’s defense capabilities and resilience while honoring NATO commitments from the Hague Summit. Hope more allies will join “the 5% club” soon.(Edgars Rinkēvičs)
