[NVIDIA Faces Class Action Lawsuit Over Concealment of Over $1 Billion in Mining Card Revenue]
A U.S. federal judge has approved a class action lawsuit against NVIDIA and its CEO Jensen Huang. The plaintiffs accuse them of concealing the extent to which gaming GPU revenue depended on demand from cryptocurrency mining between 2017 and 2018, involving over $1 billion in mining card sales. The court determined that NVIDIA failed to prove that the related statements had no impact on its stock price, allowing the lawsuit to proceed as a class action. Previously, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission had fined NVIDIA $5.5 million for violations related to information disclosure.
