BlockBeats News, March 26: According to data disclosed by KobeissiLetter, in January, the holdings of U.S. Treasury bonds by various countries surged by $34.8 billion, reaching $9.3 trillion, marking the second-highest record in history.
Japan, as the largest foreign holder, purchased $39.8 billion worth of U.S. Treasury bonds, bringing its total holdings to $1.2 trillion, the highest level since July 2022.
The United Kingdom, the second-largest holder of U.S. Treasury bonds globally, increased its holdings by $29.3 billion to $895.3 billion, setting the third-highest record in history.
The United Kingdom, the third-largest holder of U.S. Treasury bonds globally, increased its holdings by $10.9 billion to $694.4 billion, the highest level since September of last year.
Meanwhile, multiple EU countries collectively increased their holdings by $8 billion, reaching $2.1 trillion.
