[Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency: U.S. and Iran May Hold Talks in Pakistan]
According to Italy's *Corriere della Sera*, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi stated that the United States and Iran might hold talks this weekend in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. In an exclusive interview with *Corriere della Sera*, Grossi said the discussions would cover not only nuclear energy but also missiles and Iran's security guarantees.
Grossi noted that the U.S. demands Iran achieve 'zero uranium enrichment,' while Iran is focused on issues such as its civilian nuclear program and nuclear autonomy. In his view, the two sides can reach a consensus on these matters. He also mentioned that Iran's nuclear facilities were damaged in U.S. and Israeli military strikes, 'but not decisively.'
When discussing feasible solutions to the current conflict, Grossi emphasized that achieving peace is the first step, stating that 'military action is not the way to resolve the issue.'
