[Iranian Media: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Denies Negotiations with the U.S., Calls U.S.-Israeli Attacks 'Betrayal of Diplomacy'] Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to Iranian media Fars News, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that since the outbreak of war in late February, there have been no negotiations or exchanges between Tehran and Washington. In an interview on Wednesday, Baghaei said: 'After attacking Iran during negotiations, no one can trust U.S. diplomatic policies anymore.' He added that Washington had engaged in negotiations with Tehran twice, but both times launched attacks on Iran. He pointed out that during indirect negotiations, the attacks by Israel and the U.S. on Iran were 'a betrayal of diplomacy.' Baghaei stated: 'Yesterday, we made it clear that there are no negotiations or consultations between Iran and the U.S. I want to say that we have had very painful experiences with U.S. diplomacy.' He refuted claims by U.S. President Trump that Washington and Tehran had begun ceasefire negotiations. He said: 'In the past 24 days, there has been no contact between Iran and the U.S., and Iran's armed forces continue to defend the nation's territorial integrity.' He added: 'I cannot deny the fact that many countries in the region and beyond have proposed acting as mediators for negotiations between Iran and the U.S. These messages have been continuously coming in for days. We have received requests regarding such negotiations and have responded to them. Our stance is clear: we will continue to defend ourselves.' He also stated that the statements from the U.S. and Israel about holding negotiations with Iran are not credible, as they are the ones who initiated the terror war against Tehran. (Jinshi)
