**[U.S. Defense Industry Giants Ramp Up Production to Meet National Defense Preparedness Needs]**
BlockBeats News, March 25: According to U.S. media reports, the Pentagon has reached a series of framework agreements with major defense contractors aimed at accelerating the production of critical missile systems. These systems were heavily utilized during the early stages of the U.S. and Israel's conflict with Iran.
According to the Pentagon's announcement, Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems have agreed with the Department of Defense on a plan to "quadruple the production of THAAD interceptor missile seekers." Previously, the Department of Defense had reached a framework agreement with Lockheed Martin to increase the production of THAAD interceptors to four times the original output.
Under another independent framework agreement, Honeywell Aerospace will invest $500 million over the next few years to "significantly boost the production of key components in the U.S. ammunition stockpile," including navigation systems and other products.
Additionally, Lockheed Martin and the Pentagon will also increase the production of Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM), which serve as a replacement for the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). (Jin10)
