Today, I presided over the 391st Ordinary Session of the ZANU (PF) Politburo at Party Headquarters in Harare, highlighting that as we approach the 46th Independence Day Celebrations in Maphisa, unity of purpose is crucial for our socio-economic development and a prerequisite for achieving Vision 2030. I commended the National Chairman for initiatives that strengthen our structures and reaffirmed the Party's unwavering supremacy over the Government. I welcomed the positive results in the agricultural sector and the highly successful harvest, noting that the Government had approved a review of licenses, permits, and levies in key agricultural sub-sectors to promote ease of doing business. In line with the 22nd National People’s Conference resolutions, I directed that our rich mineral resources be value-added and beneficiated locally for maximum benefit to our people. I hailed the implementation of a performance-based human resource system in Government and urged the Politburo to take a keen interest in public health institutions to ensure the wellness of our citizens. We are closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and have implemented measures to ensure energy security and the supply of essential commodities, with diplomatic efforts underway for Zimbabwe’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for 2027-2028. I challenged all Politburo members to remain focused, committed, and result-oriented to improve the livelihoods of our people. #ZimAt46 #UnityAndDevelopment #Vision2030 #NyikaInovakwaNeveneVayo #ZANUPF(President of Zimbabwe)
