Valero's Port Arthur refinery, processing 435,000 bpd of crude, just had an explosion and fire. No injuries, fire is out, but operations are shut down. That's roughly 2% of U.S. refining capacity offline. Not great timing with global oil supply already under pressure from the ongoing Middle East conflict.
