[U.S. and Iran May Begin High-Level Talks as Early as Thursday, Awaiting Response from Tehran]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on March 25, citing two informed sources via the AXIOS website, the United States and a regional mediation group are discussing the possibility of holding high-level peace talks with Iran as early as Thursday, but are still awaiting a response from Tehran. President Trump is intent on ending the war, but Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz complicates any potential exit strategy.
The U.S. has shared its 15-point plan to end the war with Israel and claims that Iran has agreed to many of the key points, though there is no concrete evidence to suggest such an agreement exists. Two Israeli sources stated that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is concerned that the agreement Trump may reach could fall far short of Israel's objectives, include significant concessions, and limit Israel's ability to strike Iran.
A third source indicated that Israeli leaders are skeptical about whether Iran has truly made the concessions the U.S. claims. Currently, Iranian officials have denied Trump's assertions about secret negotiations, though they have confirmed that the U.S. has sent messages and proposals.
