No more 'must-grab' opportunities
Backpack got heavily counter-farmed. As an old farming veteran, I didn’t participate this time and dodged a bullet. The reason I rarely get counter-farmed? I avoid spending big when things are unclear—better to earn less than to lose money.
Farming isn’t like the ARB hype back in the day. You think interacting with a project and contributing to it entitles you to an airdrop, and sure, project teams do use everyone’s data to gain more reputation, secure funding, and meet listing requirements. But this kind of massive participation has far exceeded demand, completely breaking the supply-demand balance.
Another key reason is the current liquidity crisis, which has caused the expected market value of all projects to shrink significantly. The situation of too many participants and too few rewards keeps worsening, leaving project teams free to manipulate things however they want.
