Rare two-block reorganization on the Bitcoin network, Foundry USA mines 7 consecutive blocks to end the competition! According to http://U.Today, the Bitcoin network experienced a rare two-block reorganization last night. The event began at height 941880—at this point, the network briefly split into two competing chains: AntPool mined block 941881, followed by ViaBTC with 941882. Meanwhile, Foundry USA mined its own versions of 941881 and 941882, causing a stalemate between the two chains. As Foundry USA went on to mine 941883, 941884, and 941885, following the "longest chain" rule, the blocks from AntPool and ViaBTC were ultimately discarded and became orphan blocks. Foundry USA successfully completed a streak of seven consecutive blocks from 941879 to 941885. It’s worth noting that this reorganization wasn’t due to an attack or network failure—it’s simply the normal operation of Bitcoin’s decentralized consensus mechanism. Single-block reorganizations happen occasionally, but two-block reorganizations are quite rare—this means the tie between the two chains lasted for an entire block cycle.
