Claude Launches Computer Use Feature, Enabling Direct Desktop Task Execution
深潮TechFlow|Mar 24, 2026 02:40
Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 24 – According to official sources, Claude now supports controlling users' computers to complete tasks, including desktop operations such as opening applications, browsing websites, and filling out forms. This feature is currently available as a research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and is limited to macOS systems.
Claude will prioritize using connected third-party applications (such as Slack, Calendar, etc.), and when no corresponding connector is available, it will request user authorization to directly control on-screen applications. Users can initiate task commands from their mobile devices, allowing Claude to complete them autonomously after they leave. Users can also set up recurring tasks, such as daily email scans or generating reports every Friday.
This feature is currently available to Pro and Max subscription users.
