[ZachXBT: Over 10 X accounts collaborate to promote crypto scam projects] On March 23, 'on-chain detective' ZachXBT revealed a coordinated scam network consisting of over 10 X accounts. This network attracted traffic by hyping war and political panic content to promote cryptocurrency scam projects. The network purchased accounts with an existing follower base, used AI to fabricate fake personas, posted panic-inducing content daily, and amplified exposure through retweets from smaller accounts. After engaging larger accounts, they promoted fake giveaways or pump-and-dump schemes in the comment sections. On February 22, 2026, the network heavily promoted the token ORAMAMA and then ceased mentioning it. On-chain data shows they profited six figures in USD. ZachXBT called for the platform to ban these accounts and pursue legal accountability.
