USR got attacked today. Silly bro did a quick rundown this afternoon. Before the incident, USR's market cap was around $140-150M. After the incident, how much was minted? About 70M USR. This 70M USR, through DEX and collateralized lending, how much was cashed out? Roughly $25M. Who actually suffered losses? 1. DEX LPs, the hacker drained the pools. 2. RLP holders, taking the hit for the minting. Losses from over-minting and dilution. 3. Legit USR holders, the project team will most likely cover the losses. 4. Other protocols with America exposure got unlucky, like DOLA, Morpho, Euler, etc. 5. The Resolv protocol itself: almost no asset loss, but a major hit to its reputation. How to bet on this? 1. Bet on USR re-pegging: Bet that Resolv will cover all the losses and take the hit. 2. Bet on Resolv crashing: Bet that the protocol gives up and Resolv completely fails. 3. Classic depeg lending arb: Use USR to arbitrage prices across protocols, draining lending pools (already drained though).
