The Siren whales are having a blast this time—$11 million liquidated in just the past 24 hours. The reason I hadn’t dared to touch it before was that going head-to-head with a whale that basically has infinite ammo is a losing game unless you know exactly whose money you’re taking (and it’s definitely not the whale’s). Otherwise, the odds of winning are slim. And it seemed like no one around me was shorting this thing (guess I’m stuck in an echo chamber), until today when a buddy told me someone he knows lost $3M. Been partying too hard the past couple of days for my birthday and totally missed the news about the batch of withdrawals yesterday. Otherwise, I might’ve realized it was the same baiting logic as River to trap shorts. The market might be dull, but there are still opportunities to make money. Starting tomorrow, I need to spend more time in front of the computer.
