In 2009, Norwegian student Kristoffer Koch spent $27 on Bitcoin for a school project, then completely forgot about it.
Four years later, headlines about Bitcoin's rising price jogged his memory. He dug up his old wallet, cracked the password, and discovered his forgotten coins were worth $886,000. He sold a portion and bought an apartment in Oslo.
Here's the kicker. He bought 5,000 BTC at half a cent each.
At today's price of $70K per coin, those original coins would be worth $350 million.
The most expensive school project in history. 🤯
If you were in his shoes, would you have sold at $886K or held on? Be honest.(Lark Davis)
