[Two Co-Founders of Indian Crypto Platform CoinDCX Summoned by Local Police]
BlockBeats News, March 22: The two co-founders of Indian cryptocurrency exchange platform CoinDCX, Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal, which is backed by Coinbase, were reportedly arrested by police for alleged involvement in a cryptocurrency investment scam. However, according to other local media reports, the two were only summoned and not arrested.
CoinDCX issued a statement clarifying that the case involves someone impersonating CoinDCX's founders, leading to a fraud of 7.1 million rupees (approximately $75,000) against an insurance advisor, and that the incident is unrelated to the two founders.
