There were many assumptions that the big bad USA would have escalation dominance over puny Iran but after two weeks its been made clear that the US is not in control of the intensity of this conflict in both directions and has been surprised multiple times. Just because we have nukes doesn't mean we are in control here. Iran can deploy thousands of dollars of drones and explosives to cause untold billions of damage to neighboring infrastructure to the point of causing humanitarian crises across the region- a gargantuan risk:reward ratio in their favor- and just recently displayed an attack range double what was previously reported (could theoretically hit London). Their effectiveness appears to have exceeded America's scouting report. OR the commander in chief has ignored his advisers out of hubris and went for it anyway (I'd bet it was this).(𝐓𝐗𝐌𝐂)
