⚠️ Another stablecoin has lost its peg, and the Resolv attacker is still maliciously over-minting USR— Here’s what happened: 1) The attacker exploited an unlimited minting/over-minting bug in the contract, spending 200,000 USDC to mint 80 million USR. 2) They then swapped the excess USR for wstUSR → dumped large amounts via Curve/AMM pools → USR supply skyrocketed, breaking the peg, and the price instantly crashed by 74%. 3) The attacker has partially cashed out, withdrawing millions of dollars in ETH. Resolv @ResolvLabs’ USR was designed with Delta neutrality + ETH/BTC over-collateralization + RLP insurance layers, which should have had decent anti-depeg capabilities. However, the minting logic lacked strict collateral verification and cap checks, allowing the attacker to mint infinitely at minimal cost. This contract even passed a formal audit back in August 2025, yet issues still arose—proving that DeFi audits ≠ 100% security. On top of that, the over-minting volume is so massive that it’s directly impacting liquidity pools. Vaults like USR/RLP/stUSR are now exposed. If you’re holding USR, wstUSR, USR-DOLA LP, or related yield positions, withdraw ASAP and minimize losses! The contract hasn’t paused minting yet, so I’m definitely not buying cheap USR to bail out the attacker!
