Terafab is a massive semiconductor manufacturing project led by Tesla, a company under Elon Musk. This is Tesla's self-built fab plan to address the bottleneck in AI chip supply, aiming to achieve large-scale in-house production of AI chips. Dubbed 'like a Gigafactory but much bigger' (Giga but Tera-level), the goal is to produce 100–200 billion AI chips annually, with computing power reaching the 1 Terawatt level (roughly twice the total electricity consumption of the United States).
