⚕️If you've ever had Ketamine Therapy and it hasn't worked, or it's gone badly, or if you've been curious about it, then this post is for you. There are only two entities in America that properly train clinicians, meeting the didactic and clinical guidelines of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and 99% of Ketamine providers haven't taken them. These entities also only train about 20 providers per year. They are both in-person, pass/fail fellowships. They train clinicians rigorously in genetic/biomarker testing, ethnicity questionnaires, patient V1 compartment volume for proper pharmacokinetics, and appropriate plasma levels that differ by diagnosis, all of which have therapeutic ranges, adjusted body weights for different tissue distribution, and rigorous safety and regulation training. They also give plasma ceiling levels so adverse effects are next to nothing, teach how to prime people with low BDNF, and how to adjust doses based on current meds and metabolic issues. Yes, you need all these pieces and more to treat someone effectively. Find a provider certified by one of these and avoid places like Mindbloom. They should never be doing this via telehealth or sending any Ketamine to patients' homes. Only a handful of Ketamine providers nationwide have attended these, which is why national statistics are less robust and have crap remission rates. These providers boast long-term success rates of 70-90%. I'll be combining my treatments with appropriate peptides and other therapies to increase durability and the time between maintenance infusions.(🌐 J.S. Ventures)
