More and more friends are joining the Tuen Mun villagers! Remember I mentioned before, the earliest developed areas in Shenzhen were Luohu and Futian. Back then, Hong Kong's economy was thriving, and Shenzhen was still a small fishing village. Now Shenzhen has developed and surpassed Hong Kong. The New Territories in Hong Kong, closest to Shenzhen— Sheung Shui, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long—have huge potential. The cost of living and housing prices are currently about the same as Shenzhen, feels like a regional arbitrage opportunity. Years ago, many friends bought property in Shenzhen Bay not because of foresight, but because Luohu and Futian were too expensive. It’s just that Shenzhen Bay later developed well. Now there’s still plenty of open land in Yuen Long and Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. Feels like it’s only a matter of time before it becomes reserved land for urban development.
