OP just delivered a textbook example of an ineffective PR move: @Optimism officially QT’d a tweet from OKX announcing its partnership with ICE, the parent company of the NYSE, to educate the public that the XLayer chain developed by OKX is built on the OP Stack. Basically, it’s like you’re talking about A, and I bring up B. Even though the two aren’t directly related, B is still a fact. When there’s no angle to work with, just find one to ride the wave. That said, XLayer was initially built on Polygon CDK but later migrated to the OP Stack, while also retaining zk proofs and native connections with AggLayer. However, OKX didn’t engage with this, and the comment section was flooded with a bunch of sarcastic remarks. And now, it turns out the real clown was themselves all along.
