What's right for you is the best for you. No need to envy what others have that you don't. Like when we were kids, many people aimed for Tsinghua or Peking University. But once you actually take the college entrance exam, you realize that stuff isn't something you can achieve just by working hard. A lot of life goals are like that. I used to look up to Jobs and Musk as role models, until I accepted my own mediocrity. That's when my new life truly began. Even something that seems as simple as value investing— Buffett is frugal to the extreme, because that's the ultimate pursuit of compound interest. To truly align knowledge and action, that level of mastery is one in a billion—how can you even learn it? Many people think I have some noble sense of mission doing WRK. To be honest, I probably don't. I just want to make more money. I think being someone like Munger is pretty great— earn some, spend some, donate some, save some. No need to chase rankings or specific numbers. Play the hand life dealt you well, and that's your life's mission. Making money is for living, but life isn't just about making money.
