[OpenSea Delays SEA Token Launch, Offers Fee Refunds and 60-Day Zero-Fee Compensation]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on March 17, OpenSea co-founder and CEO dfinzer.eth disclosed in a post that the OpenSea Foundation has announced the postponement of the SEA token launch event originally scheduled for March 30. The reason cited is the challenging current crypto market environment, and the team aims to ensure all preparations are in place before proceeding.
To address this, OpenSea has announced the following compensation measures:
- The current reward wave will be the final one.
- Users participating in the 3rd to 6th reward waves will be offered optional platform fee refunds; however, users opting for refunds will have their treasure rewards removed.
- Rights for users already holding treasures remain unchanged, and the foundation will prioritize these users during the TGE.
- Starting March 31, a 60-day zero-fee policy will be implemented, after which a more competitive fee structure will be introduced.
dfinzer stated that the new timeline for the launch will be announced separately by the foundation once conditions are favorable.
